My name is Colin Pryor. For as long I can remember, I’ve been interested in history and folklore. I’ve also always loved travel, particularly road trips through the places the expressways and interstates have left behind. Small towns, ghost towns, and beautiful vistas have always interested me more than just getting somewhere fast. I also love to write and I work as a Data Analyst, uncovering trends and answering the questions that were previously unanswered.

I want The Forgotten Atlas to be a combination of all these things: part travel guide to the lost, interesting, and mysterious places of the world, part telling the very human stories of those places, and part using data to help answer some of the questions these stories pose.

I’m actively writing articles now to be posted soon and I hope to follow that up with a regular newsletter. You can also follow on Instagram.

Welcome to The Forgotten Atlas.
